小野象平 Shohei Ono

1985年、愛知県生まれ。現在は高知県香美市にて作陶。

陶芸家である父・小野哲平氏のもとで育ち、独立後は自ら山に入り土を掘り、釉薬の原料も一から調えるなど、自然と深く向き合いながら制作を続けています。

手に包んだときの確かな重みとおおらかなかたちから生まれるうつわは、素朴さの奥に静かな緊張感を宿し、日々の暮らしを超えて空間そのものに力強い存在感を与えます。料理を盛る器としてはもちろん、花を生けたりオブジェのように置かれたりすることで、アートピースとしての新たな表情を見せ、観る人の心を惹きつけます。

Born in Aichi in 1985. Currently based in Kami, Kochi, working as a ceramic artist.
Raised under the guidance of his father, ceramicist Teppei Ono, he has pursued his own path after becoming independent—digging clay from the mountains himself and preparing glazes from raw materials, engaging deeply with nature throughout his practice.

His vessels, shaped with generous forms and imbued with a tangible weight when held, embody both rustic warmth and a quiet sense of tension. They transcend daily use, bringing a powerful presence to the spaces they inhabit. While they function beautifully as tableware, they also reveal new expressions as art pieces—whether holding flowers or standing as sculptural objects—captivating the hearts of those who encounter them.
