Shohei Ono / “Shirogane” Plant Pot Small
Description
“Shirogane” is a glaze developed by contemporary ceramic artist Shohei Ono.
While bringing out the raw, powerful texture of the clay itself, the glaze carries a subtle translucency and freshness, creating a quiet and refined expression. As the light shifts across its surface, rustic character and elegance emerge in different ways, revealing a landscape unique to each piece.
Ono works with an exceptionally hands-on approach, venturing into the mountains to dig his own clay and creating even the raw materials for his glazes from scratch. Through his distinctive techniques and firing process, the HAKUGIN works embody a presence that is at once gentle and rugged, reflecting Ono’s generous and powerful approach to ceramics.
This planter was created by Shohei Ono exclusively for Rurbanism.
