The brushstroke flower vase by contemporary ceramic artist Tomoko Sakai is born from a unique technique where white clay is not "painted" with a brush but rather "layered" on. The expressions of the brushstrokes that emerge from this technique are all different, and the rough texture and the strength of the clay stand out. Behind the three-dimensional shadows created by the brush, there quietly resides simplicity and gentleness, making this flower vase a pleasure to hold.

Rurbanism will continue to introduce various works, including flower vases and plant pots by Tomoko Sakai.
