Yoshio Kangawa / Hikidashi Bowl A

Diameter (φ) 120~130mm × Height (h) 65~70mm

A rice bowl by ceramic artist Yoshio Kangawa.

Formed on a traditional kick wheel, each piece is characterized by the strength of the clay and the gentle, organic irregularities that reflect the movement of the maker's hands.

The time and care required in the making process mean that only a limited number of these bowls can be produced.

Subtle variations in color and surface texture created through firing, together with the natural movement of the kick wheel, give each bowl its own distinct character. No two pieces are exactly alike.

With its softly curved form that rests comfortably in the hands, each bowl brings a quiet sense of depth and presence to the everyday dining table.
