八田亨 Toru Hatta

1977年、石川県生まれ。現在は大阪府堺市・富田林市にて作陶。 白掛・黒掛・自然釉・三島など、土味を生かした多彩な表現を探求しながら制作を続けています。 

薪窯で焼成された花器は、力強さと複雑な表情をあわせ持ち、まるで自然の風景を切り取ったかのような存在感を放ちます。花を生けることで一層奥行きが増し、空間を引き締めながら、花とともに穏やかな余韻を生み出します。

Born in Ishikawa in 1977. Currently based in Sakai and Tondabayashi, Osaka, where he continues his ceramic practice.
Exploring a wide range of expressions that bring out the character of the clay, his work includes shirakake (white slip), kurokake (black slip), natural ash glazes, and Mishima inlay techniques.

His wood-fired vases combine strength with intricate surface qualities, radiating a presence reminiscent of natural landscapes. When arranged with flowers, they gain further depth, tightening the atmosphere of a space while creating a gentle resonance alongside the blooms.
