Currently based in Uda City, Nara Prefecture, he continues to create using techniques such as powdery glaze and brush strokes, while harnessing the strength of clay rich in iron. The vessels fired in a wood kiln possess a certain presence within their tranquility, bringing depth and tension not only to the plants but also to the space they occupy.

This piece is a plant pot with a black ground and brush strokes, created by swiftly applying white slip with a brush onto a clay body shaped from black soil.
