Diameter (φ) 160mm × Height (h) 420mm Opening Diameter 10mm

This is a flower vase work by contemporary ceramic artist Ryuji Iwasaki.

Born in Osaka Prefecture in 1980. Currently, he has an atelier in Tondabayashi City, Osaka Prefecture, where he continues to create with a focus on the exploration of color. His unique technique of layering glaze in a circular flow, known as "Kanngashi," creates depth, gradation, and subtle fluctuations on the surface of the vessel.

The delicate gradient of the glaze, the elegant blue-gray, and the refreshing ice green are among the sophisticated color expressions that are highly regarded both domestically and internationally.
The moist texture and warmth created by applying white glaze to semi-porcelain clay and layering copper oxide and chromium oxide like mist are also significant attractions of this work.

Simply displaying it as an object on a cabinet or sideboard brings a quiet depth to the space.

Of course, it exudes a dignified presence on its own, but by arranging multiple works of varying colors and heights, the fluctuations of the glaze and the differences in color resonate with each other, allowing for a richer expression to be enjoyed.

The beauty of the form, which stands out even without flowers, is also one of the charms of this work.
