現代陶芸作家・小野哲平のアートピースは、一般の個展では発表されることがなく、その存在自体が稀少性を帯びています。

小野哲平による《debris》は、陶器と鉄線によって構成されたオブジェクト作品です。タイトルの“debris”は「破片」や「瓦礫」を示し、失われたものの残滓を象徴する言葉でもあります。

壊れること、残ること、形を変えてなお存在し続けること。

その境界に揺らぐ断片は、作家の哲学を静かに、しかし鮮烈に映し出しています。

小野哲平 / Teppei Ono

1958年、愛媛県生まれ。現在は高知県香美市にて作陶。

常滑での修業を経て築いた確かな技と、高知の棚田に囲まれた自然の中で培われた感性を礎に、力強くも包容力のあるうつわを生み出し続けています。

インドやアジア各国を巡る旅で得た豊かな体験を背景に生まれる作品は、素朴さや温かさの奥に確かな精神性を宿し、見る者・使う者を惹きつけます。ごまかしのない眼差しと揺るぎない情熱から生まれるそのうつわは、単なる日用品を超え、現代陶芸の重要な表現のひとつとして確かな存在感を放っています。

Born in Ehime in 1958. Currently based in Kami, Kochi, where he continues his ceramic practice.
After rigorous training in Tokoname, he established a solid foundation of technique, which, combined with the sensibility nurtured in the terraced rice fields of Kochi’s natural landscape, gives rise to vessels that are both powerful and embracing.

Rooted in the rich experiences gained from his travels through India and other parts of Asia, his works carry a quiet spirituality beneath their rustic warmth. They captivate both viewers and users alike. Born from an uncompromising gaze and unwavering passion, his vessels transcend the realm of everyday utility, standing as significant expressions in contemporary ceramics with a profound and enduring presence.
