Through years of working with clay and fire, the work of contemporary ceramic artist Teppei Ono carries a quiet sense of spirit beneath its rustic warmth, gently drawing in both the viewer and the user.
Fired in a traditional wood kiln, the jar bears the natural fluctuations of the firing process and traces of ash, which remain on the surface as part of each vessel’s unique “landscape.”
Even when left empty, it stands as a complete presence within a space.
Whether used with branches or flowers, or simply as an object, it quietly accompanies daily life, holding the time and emotions of its owner.
