The 《White Ash Glazed Lid Bottle》 by contemporary ceramic artist Yaku Murakami is a flower vase formed by two pieces gently embracing each other to create a single shape. When the lid is removed, it becomes a vessel for flowers, and when stacked, it transforms into a standing object. With each change in shape, a slight margin sways, and the presence unfolds.

Rurbanism will continue to introduce a variety of works, including flower vases, art pieces, and plant pots by contemporary ceramic artist Yaku Murakami.

Yaku Murakami

Born in 1967 in Tokyo. Currently creating pottery in Nagano Prefecture.

The flower vases, carefully shaped by hand, embody a simple and pure beauty, bringing a quiet presence to the space.

Each orderly presence is unique, and when flowers are arranged in them, they reveal even richer expressions. While adding a dignified beauty to everyday spaces, these works exude a unique presence like that of an object.
